New Roses 1927. Lady Margaret Stewart (HT. A. Dickson) An extremely variable colour, but may be described as carmine madder veined crimson on outside, with inside of petals showing apricot more or less flushed with orange and occasionally carmine. Sometimes the open blooms give a dominant colour of old gold. Moderate growth, good foliage, and a rich, fruity scent are other qualities. It is one of the best novelties of the year, but will rank more as a decorative, as the blooms are not extra large. Petals vary from 40 to 85.
Special attention is drawn to the name, as the initials are the same as 'Lady Maureen Stewart', and both must be written in full to prevent confusion, 5/– each.
