Bred by Jacques-Julien Margottin père (1817-1892) (France, before 1852).
Introduced in France by Margottin père & fils in 1853 as 'Madame Domage'.
Introduced in Australia by John Baptist in 1861 as 'Madame Domage'.

Hybrid Bourbon, Hybrid Perpetual.

Bloom:

Carmine-pink, cerise shading. Moderate fragrance. Average diameter 4.25". Large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, cupped, rounded bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Rounded buds.

Habit:

Armed with thorns / prickles. Glossy, light green foliage. 3 to 5 leaflets.

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Hardy.
