Bred by Joseph F. Winchel (United States, 1998).
Introduced in United States by Certified Nurseries in 1998 as 'Ladies Home Journal'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Mauve or purple blend.  Mild fragrance.  8 to 14 petals.  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.  

Height: 4½' to 5' (135 to 150cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders or garden.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
