Notes:

Native to Japan. Rosa multiflora var. adenochaeta Ohwi. Section Synstylae.
First described by Jisaburo Ohwi (1905–1977). Later named Rosa adenochaeta Koidz discribed by Gen'ichi Koidzumi (1883–1953). It has been determined that Rosa multiflora var. adenochaeta Ohwi is the correct name and that Rosa adenochaeta Koidz is a synonym. Convention says that Latin names should be written in italics.
