Bred by Samuel Darragh (1932-2019) McGredy IV (1980).
Introduced in New Zealand by McGredy Roses International (New Zealand) in 1988 as 'Gwen Swane'.

Bloom:
Pink.  Mild fragrance.  40 petals.  Small to medium bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Spreading.  Small, matte foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Breeder's notes:
Gwen Swane - Macwhaka. Nicknamed Whakarewarewa
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
The variety is named for the late Mrs. E.N. Swane, a member of the long-established firm of rose growers in Australia.
