​​Anais Segales is a wiry 1 to 1.2m. with a variable array of near white, pale pink, deep pink, lilac maroon and grey violet, often in one bloom.   ‘Jenny Duval’ has a similar range of colours in much larger blooms set freely on a compact and shapely bush.

‘Anaïs Ségales’ = galliques... Sans doute un hybride entre Rosa x centifolia et Rosa gallica. Obtenu par Vibert en 1837… mauve teinté de rouge cramoisi s’éteint, sur les bords de la corolle, en rose lilacé, au plus beau de l’épanouissement qui est très généreux.

Aimable Rouge' and 'Assemblage des Beautes'. Beyond a certain point even experts prove to be fallible. A double whitish pink Gallica which I sent to the Rosarium in Dortmund was identified by them as 'Anais Segales'. It later turned out to be 'Belle Isis'.

1837. One of the most perfectly shaped of all the gallicas. Abundant petals forming an evenly shaped flower, large, flat, but filled even in the centre; light rosy red fading to lilac-pink. Small leaves, bushy. Very fragrant. 3' x 3'.
