Bred by Mathias Tantau (1882 - 1953) (Germany, before 1950).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Wheatcroft Brothers Ltd. in 1951 as 'Tantau's Delight'.
Class:
Floribunda.  
Bloom:
Orange-red.  Mild fragrance.  Large, semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered, open bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Ploidy:
Tetraploid
