Discovered by George Forrest (China, circa 1920).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Hillier Nurseries Ltd. as 'Rosa macrophylla 'Rubricaulis''.
Class:
Species / Wild.  
Bloom:
Light pink.  Warm, clear pink.  Single (4-8 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Tall, bushy.  7 to 9 leaflets.  

Height: 8' to 15' (245 to 455cm).  Width: 4' to 15' (120 to 455cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown as a climber in mild climates.

Raised by Hillier from seed collected by George Forrest. A selection of the species.
