Origin:
Bred by Alexander Dickson II (1857-1949) (United Kingdom, 1922).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1923 as 'Captain Kilbee Stuart'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Crimson, scarlet shading, violet shading.  Strong, strawberry fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered to cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
