Introduced in United Kingdom by Wheatcroft Brothers Ltd. in 1948 as 'Alsace'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1951 as 'Alsace'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Salmon-pink, golden-yellow undertones.  Flowers salmon-pink, base gold.  Moderate fragrance.  35 to 40 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
