Ingrid Verdegem says this rose is very similar to 'Belle Isis' as far as the flowers and its colour are concerned.
Possibly named after Andreas Schelfhout (February 16, 1787 den Haag - April 19, 1870 Den Haag), Dutch painter of landscapes. However, there were also other "Schelfhaut" living in Flanders, even in Ghent.
