Origin:
Bred by Wm. E.B. Archer & Daughter (United Kingdom, 1926).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1929 as 'Joyous Cavalier'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Scarlet to carmine-red.  30 petals.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, open bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  

Height: up to 4'1" (up to 125cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
