Origin:
Bred by Français-André Robert (France, 1854).
Class:
Found Rose, Damask Perpetual, Gallica / Provins.  
Bloom:
Lilac - purple, darker edges.  Average diameter 3.5".  Large, very full (41+ petals), button-eye, flat, old-fashioned, rosette bloom form.  Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.  
Habit:
Suckers on its own roots, upright.  Dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Prune after flowering is finished.  This rose blooms on old wood.
