Bred by Jean-Baptiste André (fils) Guillot (1827-1893) (France, 1885). Bred by Pierre Guillot (1855-1918) (France, 1885).
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Comtesse de Frigneuse'.
Class:
Tea.  
Bloom:
Light yellow, green highlights, lighter reverse.  Canary yellow.  Strong fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Notes:
Pierre Guillot states that 'Comtesse de Frigneuse' is a descendant of 'Safrano'.- see References.
