Evergreen Gem Wichuraiana: foliage of great beauty, of a fine bronzy colour. Flowers buff changing to white. This variety, like most of the group, is well adapted for Weeping Standards. They quickly form beautiful and graceful objects for the lawn or drive.

W. A. Manda, South Orange, New Jersey, introduced in 1897 and 1899 a number of very distinct climbing roses, with R. Wichuraiana as one parent. They are practically evergreen.
Evergreen Gem, colour buff, changing to almost white, sweetbrier perfume.

Here is one of the most obvious places to use these charming Roses, which are beautiful not only for their blossom, but for the close growth of their neat glossy foliage.

Evergreen Gem. (Wichuraiana X Madame Hoste). The most wonderful grower of the set. Foliage, fine rich bronze color, closely matted. Flowers produced singly on stems, yellow, buff in bud, opening to almost white, two or three inches in diameter, perfectly double, and of a delightful sweetbriar fragrance. (See cut.)
