Origin:
Bred by Roelof Buisman (Netherlands, 1931).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1933 as 'Earl Godard Bentinck'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red, orange undertones.  Mild fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Godard von Bentinck, German-Dutch aristocrat. The deposed German Kaiser Wilhelm II lived his first exile years in Bentinck's castle in Amerongen.
