Bred by Jean Henri (J.H.) Nicolas (United States, 1934).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1936 as 'Polar Bear'.

Hybrid Perpetual, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Blush, white reverse, ages to white .  Moderate, wild rose fragrance.  Large, very full (41+ petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall, bushy, upright.  Large, leathery, wrinkled (rugose) foliage.  

Height: up to 10' (up to 305cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4a through 9b.  Hardy.
