Bred by Chaplin Bros., Ltd (United Kingdom, 1925).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1926 as 'Ellen Terry'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Cream, lemon-yellow shading, yellow center, peach outer petals.  Moderate, sweet fragrance.  Large, very double, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright, well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
Ellen Terry was born 27 February 1848, in Coventry, England. Her parents were actors. She herself was an acclaimed Shakespearean actress and at one time was considered the first lady of the British stage. She made her first stage appearance at the ripe old age of eight in The Winter's Tale He career spanned more than half a century. The Ellen Terry Museum is located in Smallhythe Place, the house she lived in for the last thirty years of her life. Terry died 21 July 1928.
