Origin:
Bred by Alcide Vigneron (France, 1900).
Introduced in Australia by C. H. Halstead in 1904 as 'Madame Ernest Levavasseur'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Crimson - vermilion, carmine-red shading.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Climbing.  
Height of up to 4' 11" (up to 150 cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
