p410. [photo] 'White Mary Rose'. English Rose. This is a sport from David Austin's popular 'Mary Rose'. It certainly seems to be just the same, except for its glistening whiteness, and is a welcome addition to Austin's range. Like its parent, it can be pruned hard for bedding or allowed to grow more freely into quite a large shrub. in either mode it will bear its slightly scented flowers all season. Foliage is mid-green. Sport from 'Mary Rose'. Repeat flowering.

p414 [photo] 'Winchester Cathedral'. English Rose. AUScat. 'Winchester Cathedral' was introduced in 1988, the 900th anniversary of the Norman cathedral of Winchester, the cathedral with the longest nave in England. It conforms pretty well to the David Austin style, with full-petalled, quartered blooms and fragrance. In this case they are white, and the shrub is bushy and compact, flowering all season. Foliage is mid-green and lush. Parentage undisclosed. Repeat flowering. Fragrant.
