Origin:
Bred by Walter Berger (1899 - 1960) (Germany, before 1964).
Introduced in Germany by GPG Roter Oktober, Bad Langensalza in 1964 as 'Oberbürgermeister Boock'.
Class:
Polyantha.  
Bloom:
Dark red.  Medium, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Short, upright, well-branched.  

Height: up to 1' (up to 30cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden.

Notes:
This rose was bred by Walter Berger (1899-1960) but issued by his wife Anni Berger (1904-1990) whose nursery was integrated into the East German production cooperative GPG Roter Oktober.
