Bred by Rudolf Geschwind (1829-1910) (Austria-Hungary (former), before 1910).
Introduced in Germany by Peter Lambert in 1912 as 'Arva Leany'.
Class:
Alba.  
Bloom:
Cream, carmine-pink shading.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be trained as a climber.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

Notes:
Data received from Erich Unmuth of Venna Austria who states that it was bred by Geschwind in 1912.
