Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, before 1929).
Introduced in France by Roseraies Gaujard in 1933 as 'Kidwai'.
Introduced in United States by Henry A. Dreer Archive in 1933 as 'Kidwai'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1935 as 'Kidway'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow, copper stripes, salmon-pink shading, cream undertones.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, semi-double to double, borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, thornless (or almost), upright.  Glossy, bronze-green, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Hardy.  
Notes:
Possibly dedicated to Mushir Hossain Kidwai of Gadia, author, Pan-Islamist
Parentage derived from the 1935 Reference - a sister seedling of 'Mme Joseph Perraud' and 'Antinea'
