Bred by Jacques-Julien Margottin père (1817-1892) (France, 1858).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1863 as 'Anna Alexieff'.

Bloom:
Light pink, salmon-pink shading. [Salmon-pink or light pink.]  Medium to large, large, double (17-25 petals), full (26-40 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  

Height: up to 4'11" (up to 150cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.

Notes:
From kajuta.net - Rosa 'Anna Alekseeva': Dedicated to Anna Alexandrovna Alekseeva (March 22, 1840 - July 20, 1909), daughter of Alexander Wassiljewitsch Alekseev (1788-1841), Russian industrialist and mayor of Moscow. In 1856 she married Ivan Yakovlevich Prokhorov (1833 - October 23, 1881) from another industrialist family. The young pair was in Paris end of 1856/beginning of 1857.
