Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, before 1921).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1921 as 'Étoile de Feu'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Salmon-pink and coral-red, scarlet shading.  Strong fragrance.  50 petals.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Short, well-branched.  Glossy, bronze-green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .
