Bred by Wilhelm Kordes III (1953 - 2016) (Germany, circa 1992).
Introduced in United States by Bear Creek Gardens, Inc. in 1992 as 'Sergeant Pepper'.
Class:
Miniature.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red, yellow undertones.  None / no fragrance.  15 to 20 petals.  Average diameter 1.5".  Small, semi-double to double, borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Small, pointed, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Short, compact, upright, well-branched.  Small, glossy, dark green foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 18" to 2' (45 to 60cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
