Origin:
Bred by Alexander Dickson II (1857-1949) (United Kingdom, 1905).
Introduced in Australia by Henry Sewell, Payneham Nurseries in 1906 as 'Hugh Watson'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Crimson to deep pink, carmine-red shading.  Moderate fragrance.  24 petals.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
