Bred by Berthe Caron (Mme Mallerin) (France, before 1948).
Introduced in France by URS (Universal Rose Selection)-Meilland in 1951 as 'Madame Vincent Auriol'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1953 as 'Madame Vincent Auriol'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Buff, copper shading.  Ochre. Peony form.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, upright, well-branched.  Glossy foliage.  

Height: up to 28" (up to 70cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
