Notes:
25 December 800, Pope Leo III crowned Charlemagne Roman Emperor. And so began the Holy Roman Empire.

The Bourbon 'Charlemagne' by Dorisy is confused from the 1880s in literature and gardens with the later HP by Oger. The blush-coloured Bourbon is probably extinct.
