Book (Jul 1998) Page(s) 107. Rosa Mundi Selcoloured Gallica, England before 1759... Krussman says this is a red sport of R. gallica versicolor that appeared in England before 1759... Gravereaux, in his 1902 catalogue of the roses at l'Haÿ, says it is a sport of R. gallica officinalis... and G. de La Roche says it is neither one of those but rather R. gallica officinalis itself.
