Notes:
Johann Gregor Mendel is called the Father of Genetics because of the theories of heredity he developed from working with 28,000 pea plants from 1856 to 1863. He was born in Heinzendorf, Austria, 22 July 1822 and died in Brno, Austria, 6 January 1884.
