After the first year, I was ready to shovel prune this plant. Then this past year Heaven on Earth took off. The plant is now bushy and produces lots of gorgeous, great smelling flowers. I love the old fashioned look. It is a keeper.

Beautiful blossoms, borne in abundance, but on a large, weak-stemmed, undisciplined bush that will flop on the ground if not staked. As lovely as the blossoms are, this is not my favorite bush because of its garden behavior.

I can not agree with this. My bush is in its first year and has nice strong self-supporting branches. Flowers sometimes nod under their weight but I never experienced flopping, never supported them either.

I agree that the bush is weak-stemmed and undisciplined. I love the flowers, they are truly gorgeous. But i yanked my bush because I don't like staking roses. To me they should be upright.
