The blooms on "Arcadia Louisiana Tea" balled the entire season except at the very end, in October of this year.

Wonder of wonders, now the "Arcadia Louisiana Tea" has been in the ground two years, almost all the blooms opened this April. It don't know if that is the result of more maturity of the plant or the 5 days of unseasonal 95℉ heat we had this month.

It looks gorgeous in those photos Cass. Does it look as much like a Dijon Tea in the flesh as it does in the photos?

Good question! I suffer a serious lack of data. I've never seen a Gloire de Dijon whose identity I trust. Of its first generation offspring, I grow a few, some of which couldn't be more different from one another: Elie Beauvilain; Baronne Henriette Snoy; Phyllis Bide, Souv. de Mme Leonie Viennot, and Mme Berard. My Bouquet d'Or is struggling.

The two most unique characteristics of he blooms of this rose are how deep they are and the large size of the receptacle - - more specifically, how wide the mouth.

I'll look at them this weekend at the canes and foliage. I have a bad picture showing the new growth is quite reddish.

I don't know much about this found rose except that the blooms are beautiful. The petal form reminds me of "Tamalpias Homestead Tea."

I bought my plant at Vintage Gardens. It will appear on their availability list again some day.
