It has become one of my favorite roses. It's so big and double, the pale pink petals are so elegant and with a kind of "dull polish" touch. the fragrance is citrus and lychee and something else, which is strong and very good to smell as a whole~

but my plant seems slow to repeat.... I wonder if anyone could give me some suggestion?

I saw Betty White at the rose park in Oct. 2012, it was over 4' tall as grafted-on-Dr.Huey. It's very hardy and vigorous in zone 5a. The thorns aren't bad, much less thorn than Liv Tyler.

I bought Betty White as OWN-ROOT from Roses Unlimited, lots of blooms in my alkaline clay. Updated: survives many winters as own-root as of July 2018. The scent is worth having, vase life is excellent & makes good cut-flower. No balling whatsoever, despite our wettest year. I use high-potassium red-lava and it repeats very fast, 4 flushes in my zone 5a summer. Potassium helps to prevent balling & faster blooming.

I am sorry to hear that Betty White balls badly in damp/wet weather. I have considered it for my garden several times. I live in the midwest and definitely get all four seasons so it would need to be winter hardy and not ball too badly. Our rainiest time is April-May and summers and fall are normal to dry, so it could work.
A couple of pinks in this color range I would recommend are Savoy Hotel and the little known Westminster Pink. WP is a beautiful rose that needs a few years to get established before it consistently produces the big quality blooms I am getting on it. I got mine from Hortico four years ago.

I had problems with Betty White balling in the always damp weather of San Francisco. Instead of shovel pruning the rose, I gave it to my mother who lives just north of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County. Her climate is quite different, despite the mere 20 miles distance. Where she lives, winter lows are colder by 15 degrees and summer highs are warmer by 15 to 30 degrees with little or no fog and much lower humidity. There, Betty White is doing just fine. She never balls and looks very lovely, indeed.

I have Savoy Hotel and love the flowers, although this year without any protection it has suffered a bit from rust.
