Origin:
Bred by Victor Etienne Gautreau (France, 1872).
Introduced in France by Louis Lévêque & Fils in 1880 as 'Souvenir de Spa'.

Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Scarlet - crimson, red highlights.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), globular, scalloped bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  Large buds.  
Habit:
Thornless (or almost), upright.  
Height of up to 39" (up to 100 cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
