Medium, bushy. Large, glossy, dark green foliage.

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower, exhibition or garden. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) . Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
Arena Rose Co.'s Catalog 2000 says Joyfulness is well-suited for cutting and exhibition. The blooms emerge from coppery salmon buds with apricot and peach undertones... and Cynthia Hart reports that Joyfulness seems to change form and color based on the heat of the season. Cynthia's photo was taken during some of Florida's cooler weather.
