Bred by Francis Meilland (1912-1958) (France, 1954).
Introduced in France by P. Vially in 1954 as 'Prélude'.

Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1957 as 'Prélude'.

Florists Rose, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Lilac - mauve.  Moderate fragrance.  25 petals.  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Dense foliage.  

Height: up to 4' (up to 120cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for cut flower.  Vigorous.
