Origin:
Bred by Wilhelm J.H. Kordes II (1891-1976) (Germany, 1930).
Class:
Hybrid Spinosissima.  
Bloom:
White.  Mild fragrance.  Average diameter 2.75".  Medium, semi-double to double, high-centered bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  Light green, wrinkled (rugose) foliage.  
Height of up to 6' 7" (up to 200 cm).  Width of up to 4' (up to 120 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Very vigorous.  
Notes:
The Swedish Rose Society recommends Karl Förster for northern Sweden.
