Introduced in Australia by Charles Wyatt, Frogmore Nursery in 1868 as 'Alphonse Damaizin'.

Bloom:
Scarlet, darker shading.  Medium, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.
