I thought that new roses couldn't be given names of roses that were still in commerce, or the names of other plant species. I get the impression that big companies are on a different playing field.

Queen Mary 2 I ordered this rose on line from apparently a fradulent company who I found out later has "taken" many a rose lover. Do you have more than one "commercially available" source we can order this rose from?

According to CRL code name is MEIfassel
According to ARS.org - code name is MEIfaissel

The ARS is the international official registrar of roses and since the beginning of 2004 has been required to follow the "rules set forth by the International Code of Nomenclature for Clutivated Plants". You'll find this language at the top of the ARS registration page in the American Rose in issues where registrations are published. If the name of a rose is enclosed with single quotation marks, this is way of telling if a rose has been registered with the IRAR-R (The American Rose Society in its role as the International Registration Authority For Roses). To make this stand out even more on the rose page, we have used the IRAR-R name, enclosed it in single quotes and used all caps for the registration code.
All roses registered prior to 2004 follow the ARS rules that were in place at that time with the first three letters being all caps as a code as to who bred or owned the rose.
Seems like things just get a little more confusing as time goes on.
