Bloom:
Light yellow. Strong, spice fragrance. Average diameter 5.5". Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, exhibition, high-centered to cupped bloom form. Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.
Habit:
Spreading, upright. Dark green, leathery foliage.
Height: 31" to 5' (80 to 150cm). Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b and warmer. Can be used for cut flower, exhibition or garden. Vigorous. heat tolerant. shade tolerant. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant, very mildew resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

Patent states: " Originated by us by crossing the rose known as Helen Traubel with an unnamed variety which is the subject of Plant Patent 1254." Plant Patent 1254 relates to a 1953 seedling of Herb Swim's through Stark Brothers of Charlotte Armstrong X Signora.
