On the description page for this rose, it says both "armed with thorns / prickles" and "thornless (or almost)". Which is true?

Hi Carolyn......
The answer, for me, is "I really don't know". It depends on whether you look at the description in Modern Roses 12 which says "some prickles" or if you look at the patent which says "numerous prickles". One of them is right. ...'o)

Has anyone had good success with rebloom on this rose? Mine is one of the last to bloom initially, then has very few blooms after the first flush. I live in a hot climate and am wondering if it does not like the heat. I've had it for three years and considering getting rid of it for something that blooms more often.

Leonardo is classified as a floribunda and so should give you a lot of blooms. It could be that he prefers a cooler climate but he was bred in the south of France. Sometimes you get good results when you put a thick mulch all around the base of the plant. Roses just love cool roots and can react to roots that are too warm.
