I was tempted to post this picture and the next under R. rugosa rubra, as this plant (from a different nursery) produces flowers considerably darker than all our other Rugosas, and if there is a rubra, this must surely be it. But I looked up the bill and it was specifically sold as R. rugosa, period. Not that this would mean anything ... Our garden in Hamburg, Germany (Z8a), 2015-05-24.
