Origin:
Bred by Hendrikus Antonie Verschuren Jr. (1885-1947) (Netherlands, before 1940).
Introduced in United States by Henry A. Dreer Archive in 1940 as 'Lipstick'.
Class:
Floribunda, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Cerise, salmon-pink shading.  Mild fragrance.  Average diameter 2".  Small to medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Vigorous.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
