Chandos (pronounced Shandoss with the accent on the first syllable); several possibilities. Chandos House in London (Wikipedia had an interesting history of it); the previous Dukes of Chandos or current Viscount Chandos; the Chandos recording company. Possibly more, but it doesn't have an apostrophe.

Thank you so much for the pronunciation! Does anybody know where to buy her in the USA? I checked Angel Gardens already as that was my only lead. Thanks!

I have this rose in my garden. I will be sending some cuttings to K and M Roses to be grafted onto Fortuniana root stock. If you would like me to send a cutting to Jim Mills at K and M Roses for you, please contact him and let him know and then let me know.

Uh oh -- jmile, is the Chandos Beauty that you have the one that is purely ivory with no pink? There was an imposter going around So Cal recently that is not the real Chandos Beauty, and I would not want one of the few sellers we have left to get the incorrectly labeled plant. It should look like the one in Maurice Reybaud's photos. But the distinguishing factor is NO pink on the real Chandos Beauty. Which one do you have?

The Chandos Beauty that I have looks like the pictures from Maurice Reybaud. I think that I got it from Eurodesert but I am not completely sure. That would be the time frame that I got it. Otherwise I got it from Pickering or Hortico. Other than Eurodesert, I can't think of any place in the US that had it.

It was the Eurodesert one that I was referring to as the mislabel. The right one, which I also have, came from Hortico. Please just make absolutely sure yours is the correctly labeled one before distributing it to anyone for propagation purposes.

It isn't blooming right now---I will wait until it blooms and then put a picture on HMF to make sure. Actually I have three Chandos Beauty plants. I looked at my invoices and I got at least one from Hortico and one from Eurodesert. I do not know which is which. I thought they were the same but now I wonder. I know that all three smell the same but I haven't compared their color closely.

The third plant I got from Vintage Gardens 8/2011. Is this a true version of the rose?

Most probably yes. I don't have any info that would indicate they had the wrong one.
