Origin:
Bred by Alain Meilland (1940-....) (France, 1965).
Introduced in France by URS (Universal Rose Selection)-Meilland in 1967 as 'Majorette'.
Introduced by Unknown (Australia) in 1968 as 'Majorette'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Salmon-orange, copper shading.  Burnished copper on sunset pink.  Mild fragrance.  35 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, high-centered bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Medium, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright, well-branched.  Dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 26" to 47" (65 to 120cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
