Origin:
Bred by Rudolf Geschwind (1829-1910) (Austria-Hungary (former), 1890).
Introduced in Czechoslovakia (former) by Gräfin Marie Henriette Chotek in 1929 as 'Trompeter von Säckingen'.
Class:
Hybrid Multiflora, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Crimson - purple, darker highlights.  Moderate fragrance.  Medium, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, flat bloom form.  
Habit:
Upright.  

Height: up to 9'10" (up to 300cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.
