Mr. And Mrs. Brownell, Rhode Island, USA. We have a ‘Mary Wallace’ by our kitchen sink, known to be of constitutional once bloom, that nearly all summer has two or three blooms showing. These are due to environment that causes a repetition of the once bloom. Such repeats on other varieties may prove to be a constitutional change.

George M. Taylor. Roses for Fences. ‘Mary Wallace’ is certainly one of the most outstanding of all the Hybrid wichuraiana Roses, and it is not well enough known. Be that as it may, it is very beautiful. It has semi-double flowers, bright rose-pink in colour, and its salmon base on every flower adds to its beauty. The flowers are large in comparison with those of any of the other wichuraianas. It is a healthy, vigorous grower.
