Introduced in Germany by Rosen-Tantau/Tantau Roses in 1919 as 'Stachellose Fisher & Holmes'.

Bloom:
Crimson.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), high-centered bloom form.  
Habit:
Bushy, thornless (or almost).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Notes:
Stachellos = thornless
