'Miss All-American Beauty' rose Reviews & Comments

I grew this a few years back and it was the only rose that I actually had to shovel prune. Black spot over took it to the point of no return, in North NJ. I only got 2 blooms off it, although those were beautiful and the fragrance was wonderful. Not sure if it was because of where I purchased it from but I doubt I'd take another chance on this one.

It's the third season for two bushes of this variety with pleasing results. A good clear deep pink of fine form and great size, normally 5" to 6 1/2" across. The bushes are vigorous, disease resistant, and it repeats blooming quickly. Reported to be very fragrant, but I have only detected a mild fragrance, (expected more from a seedling of Chrysler Imperial). A excellent all-around deep pink here in Oregon's wine country.

It's very fragrant here. A very good rose over all but not much repeat here without pruning after a huge Spring flush.

The Montreal Botanical Garden recommends this rose as resistant to blackspot, powdery mildew, and rust:

I bought an All American Beauty--at least that's what it was labeled. However, it makes lots and lots of buds and flowers with multi buds and medium flowers which are not the deep pink I see in the photos. I'm pretty sure that's its not what it was labeled. Any ideas? Thanks
